The Fontana residence has a construction style dating back to the late 1950s, an arc of history that is the final chapter for the architectural style of Estado novo and the transition
period into the 1960s. The building has 8 floors above ground and a basement. Originally however, only 6 floors were intended to be used for housing, One large apartment per floor. After the introduction of a housing programme, the floors were divided and this resulted in 15 apartments and a shop with typologies varying between T1 and T3
